Pets / Animals:  We’re sorry, but for the comfort of all our guests, animals are only permitted at Cowboy Retreat with advance notice.  Pet fees are not included with the booking but will be an additional charge.  Pets are never to be left unattended.  If an animal is discovered at any other rental, guests will be removed without notice and without compensation.

Number of Guests: The number of stay over guests is limited to those listed on the reservation. For the safety of our all guests and property, we must be notified in advanced if you are anticipating daytime visitors.

Check In: After 3 p.m. Lock box or door code will be provided via text/app or email prior to 3 p.m.

Check Out:  Before 11 a.m.  Double check for personal belongings!  We don’t want you to leave behind any much-needed shoes, toiletries or charging cords.  Please secure all windows and doors when departing.

Location:  Your cabin sits on a private 10-acre, mountaintop property which has both paved and gravel roads.  A portion of the ingress/egress is steep and narrow.  Please plan accordingly during winter months as a 4-wheel drive vehicle may be necessary.

** Please note the new stop lights at the bottom and top of the drive. It is very important to treat these the same as any other stop lights. The road leading to the cabin is one lane and is only wide enough for one vehicle at a time.  We will not be held responsible for accidents caused by running red lights. **

Supplies: We provide only a starter supply of power towels, toilet paper, bar soap and trash bags. You will need to provide your own additional paper goods, hygiene items and HE laundry soaps.

Towels and Linens: Please leave all towels and linens in the shower prior to leaving. However, please don’t put quilt, blanket and shams in tub with dirty, wet towels.

Dyes and Makeup: Charges will be assessed for use of dyes or makeup that permanently stain the tubs, sinks, commodes, floor coverings, linens, etc.

Kitchen Use: Rubber or nylon spatulas are provided for use in non-stick coated cookware to avoid scratching. Please wash all items used during your stay and return them where found.

Trash: Please leave all trash in the trashcan inside the cabin. If you are staying longer and need the trash picked up, please text us.

Fireplaces: Fireplaces are operational October 31 – March 31.

Candles and Incense: Burning of candles and / or incense is prohibited.

Temperature Control: The temperature of the cabin is kept around 70 in winter and 72 in the summer. We want our guests to be comfortable and request that you avoid turning the AC down more than 2 degrees at a time.

Smoking:  Smoking anything indoors is prohibited.  Smoking is permitted outdoors and we ask that you exercise great caution and use appropriate receptacles for butts.

Hot Tubs: Hot tub is to remain covered when not in use. It takes time for newly filled hot tub temperatures to reach 100 degrees, and may not do so until late night or early morning after your arrival. It is normal for the hot tub to cycle on and off to filter the water and maintain its temperature. If the tub appears to be too full and is going to overflow, please notify us immediately to remove some of the water. Avoid using high-sudsing soap or bubble bath in the hot tub or Jacuzzi tub and these may damage to the motors and incur damage charges.

Maintenance: Most days there is someone on the property to assist you until 4 p.m. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control, including equipment malfunctions. Should any of our major appliances fail, we have a professional maintenance person available and will address any issues as soon as possible. If repairs/replacements cannot be immediately made, we will do our best to find alternative remedies.

Refunds:  No refunds will be given due to acts of God or other issues outside our control including guest sickness, emergencies or change of schedule.
